32 CARD GAMES
Below are details of 32 games you can use your StrikR cards to play as normal playing cards using the suits and values of the cards like a normal pack of playing cards. Note the StrikR goalkeeper cards can be excluded.
Snap (simple)
Shuffle the 52 cards and deal face down to each player (2). Players take it turn to take the top card of their pack and place face up in the middle. From the second card played if the latest card does not match the previous card played the players continue to play the next card from their pack. If the value of consecutive cards (e.g. king and king, two and two etc) are the same value then players can shout ‘snap’. The first player to correctly shout ‘snap’ picks up all the cards in the middle and place at the bottom of their own pack. If a player incorrectly shouts ‘snap’ the other player collects all the cards in the middle. The object of the game is to collect all the cards or have the most cards after an agreed period of time.
2. Clock Patience (Simple)
Shuffle the 52 cards and then deal the cards face down one at a time in a circle representing a clock face, i.e. start at the 12 o’clock position and work round from 1 o’clock all the way to 11 o’clock. You should now have 12 cards face down in a circle. now repeat until you have 4 cards for each ‘o’clock’ noting at any time in dealing you can select 4 cards to be dealt face down in the middle of the ‘clock’. When you have 13 piles of 4 cards you can reveal the top card of the four cards in the middle. Determine the value of the card (A=1, 2=2 ……..J=11, Q=12) and place the card next to the matching clock position. E.G. if the card is a Queen then place above the top of the clock position representing 12 O’clock. Then take the top card from the clock position from which the last card was placed. Again determine the value and continue as before. If at any time a ’King’ is turned over then this must be placed in the middle and the top card of the middle pack is the next card to be revealed. The object of the game is to reveal as many cards before the four ‘kings’ are revealed. This can be played by one person or taken in turns with other players to see who can reveal the most cards.
